And not the kind of no-prize experiments I put on here at the Slushpile. Agent extraordinaire Nathan Bransford is hosting a contest with very cool prizes. If you can write the most compelling chase and/or action and/or suspense sequence (in 500 words or less), you can win!

Thanks for the head's up Rick. This looks like fun.
It's the very least I could do. I think the prizes would be valuable for Slushpile readers (if one of us is fortunate enough to win). Nathan has also been very supportive of this blog and has mentioned it several times, so I'm happy to have the opportunity to return a favor.
I submitted my entry last night. Good luck everyone!
Way to go! I entered, too!
Looks like there's a teeeny bit of competition over there. Poor Nathan, he's going to need a slush reader and/or a lot of caffeine.
I entered earlier today and just went back to look at a few of the other entries. I dont know how Nathan's gonna manage.I got tired just looking at them. Divine intervention is needed.
He posted that he read almost a quarter-million words. My eyes bled trying to read all the entries before my own, and I think I was about halfway down the list. He is a reading machine!
Good luck to all who entered...
